He said “In winter 1963 It felt like the world would freeze, With John F. Kennedy And the Beatles.”

This weekend was an interesting.  I was off Monday the 8th, then continued to work through the weekend.  We are converting to a new system at work!  This is round two for me.  This is nothing new for me, I went through this at the Credit Union, so I know what it’s like.  It was still a shitty way to spend my Valentine’s night.  And then to boot I had to go in on President’s day (a Federal holiday), so my next paycheck will be amazing!  With that being said, I am really tired.  My next day off is Saturday, and I am so looking forward to it.

Yesterday I worked from 2:30-8, it was a chore to have to go to work not only on Sunday, but also on Valentine’s day.  For what we had to accomplish, I finished pretty quickly then I pretty much sat around for a while.  And that was no fun.  At least they fed us and paid us OT.  Oh, and we could wear “casual clothes” I took that to mean jeans and Uggs.  Because it was literally freezing all weekend.

Today I worked from 8-12, after work I went to lunch with my MIL, we tried a different restaurant and we were not thrilled.  Needless to say we won’t be going back.  I’m not even going to get into how deplorable the food and service was, it’s not worth it.  The rest of my day was spent doing laundry, paying bills, and I took a much needed nap.

Also can we just talk for a moment about how it’s the middle of February?  Like, hello, where did the month go?  I can’t believe it!  February always goes so quickly.  I feel like I never get a chance to catch my breath.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

I’ll pick you up when you’re getting down…

So I have felt like crap for the past few days, and I don’t yet see an end in sight.  I hate having a cold, it just drains the life out of me.  And I want to get so much done, and I can’t when I feel like crap.  So this weekend was spent resting, blowing my nose, and taking cold medicine.

J and I did venture out on Saturday to have lunch at the Dutch Ale House.  I deviated from my norm and had chili and rice, it definitely warmed me up.  Then we stopped to visit with my parents for a bit.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing on the couch and trying to work on posts.  I’ve had the worst headache that won’t go away.  I don’t think the coughing is helping.  I’m hoping to have a much more productive day Sunday, maybe I can get back to taking photos for posts and finish some editing.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

You’re walking cross the campus…

This weekend was a good one, I had a trip to Barnes and Noble, more on that soon.  J, my MIL and I had a nice lunch at The Dutch.  I had my go to Brie burger and salad.  This time I mixed it up and had their truffle oil salad dressing.  So good!  Being that it is Winter it gets so dark so fast, so my hopes of taking pictures was quickly dashed to bits.

Sunday I went to a basketball game, the Marist Lady Foxes played Momouth.  I went with my Mom.  We had a nice day together.  I’m not really into basketball, but any live game is more fun than watching them on T.V.

I’m also off Monday, I’m hoping to have a productive day off.  I have a huge to do list that seems to be ever growing.  Here are some of the pictures I took while at the game.

Marist Dance Team

The game was really good, the Marist girls are a great team.  I don’t really follow college basketball, but it’s nice to see home games.  Marist won 75 to 52, Momouth missed a lot of baskets.  And both teams players kept falling down, there was even a dog pile.  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  And on that note, it’s time to end.

Took a wrong turn and we fell down a rabbit hole…

Today was another lazy Sunday.  After sleeping in I got my butt motivated, J and I headed over to my parents house.  Where I crafted with my Mom a bit, J watched football with my Dad, my Sister was also about.  And we all made some home made pizza together.  I also had great fun with my Brother’s puppy Brabas, a pit bull/bull dog.  Brabas is quite the handful.

Saturday after work my Sister came over and we watched some movies together.  We don’t always get to hang out, so it was really nice.  We watched my favourite movie of 2015, Cinderella.  It is a great film, and her glass slippers?  Amazing!

Brabas’ is really adorable, but he is a bit much, he climbs and jumps around.  He plays really rough with my parent’s dog Fiona.  He also developed a taste for DM boot tags.  Among other things like fingers!

His paws are huge!  So big that they take up the palm of my hand.  And he’s still pretty young, nowhere near full grown.  He is definitely going to be a very big boy!

We ended up making four pizzas today: sausage and peppers, sausage, peppers, and pepperoni, cheese, and white Hawaiian with fresh basil and mushrooms.  I made the later.  It was so delicious.  We try to have family dinners once a week, and it’s usually on a Sunday.  Trying to get all of us together can be a little challenging.  So we try to get together as often as we can.

Here are some of the pictures I snapped today at my parents house.  This iPhone 6 takes really great pictures, I’m pretty impressed!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

it’s not the falling of the temperature…

This weekend was much like the past four, I worked all day Saturday, slept in Sunday, then J and I went to my parents house.  We hung out had some lunch and dinner.  My sister mad home made pizza it was fantastic!  We had originally planned to check out the battle reenactment of the Battle of Forsyth, part of the Burning of Kingston biannual activities, but it was very cold, it even snow flurried for most of the day.  Being that it was so cold I put on my favourite jeans and flannel, layered on a sweater for extra warmth and I finally got to debut my Hunter Wellies and Burberry quilted jacket.  I picked up the Hunter Wellies from the Nordstrom anniversary sale (though, not on sale), and I found this Burberry quilted Jacket second hand from an antique shop in Saugerties for way less than they are typically on sale.  Both are very comfortable and warm.  Especially during the cooler months.  And on that note it’s time to end!
