Hot summer nights, mid July When you and I were forever wild…

Hello friends, I know I’ve been away for a while.  Between work, helping my brother start a business and being pregnant during the summer I haven’t had much time to sit and write.

Over the past two weeks all of my favourite bloggers have been sharing their Nordstrom Anniversary finds, and I wish I could follow suit, but this year there was very little that spoke to me.  I am afraid to buy clothes for after baby, because well, I don’t know how quickly I will loose the baby weight.  And there was no A/W maternity styles on sale.  So I decided to check out A Pea In The Pod, which has some great quality brands I love, and the sale prices were an additional 40% off!!!!  I got some pieces that will hold me for the rest of my pregnancy (I hope!).

I picked up two Equipment blouses, who knew they had maternity styles?  I am hoping that they are going to work after baby too, because, well they are pretty bitchin’.  I ordered three dresses, they all just so happened to be from Seraphine, one black short sleeve, one blue patterned, and a long sleeve black printed that looks like something Ted Baker would offer.  I also broke down and purchased maternity jeans.  I really need them for weekends and days off.  my normal go to pairs are not cutting it any more.  I settled on a 7 For All Mankind boot cut, I have never bought a pair of $200 jeans before I hope they are worth it, they were discounted to $99 plus 40% off, so it was like how much every other pair I own cost.  And I rounded out my order with two long sleeve tops and two pairs of stockings.

I plan to eventually add some nursing attire in the next few months for when baby arrives, but I got what I needed for now.  My next purchase regardless of where from will no doubt need to contain some sweaters for A/W, some comfy pajamas, and maybe a fuzzy robe or two for those late night feedings my friends with children tell me about!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

All for now,

Hot summer days, rock ‘n’ roll…

Today I am sharing a Spring ensemble that is just darling.  I would totally rock this!  I can also see Zooey Deschanel or Lily Collins wearing it too!  The classic black an white combination is one that I love.  I can’t get enough of it all year round.

This dress sort of has a Wednesday Addams thing going on, which I am totally all about!  And I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Charlotte Olympia shoes are TDF!  I really want a pair, like in the worst way!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

In the summer rain, Ciao amore

When Spring starts to turn to Summer, it’s time for shorter hemlines, lighter colours, vacations, and beach days.  And one summer essential that will never go out is shorts.  I will be the first to admit that I don’t get to wear a lot of them, and I don’t own all that many.

I’m really loving the denim shorts, I haven’t owned a pair in a really long time, and I know they would be the perfect addition to my small but significant short collection.  I’m also in love with this polka dotted pair.  I am loving patterned shorts/pants/skirts right now!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

I’m standing there on a balcony in summer air…

If there is one thing I look forward to all year, it’s when I can finally wear my white pieces.  And there is nothing more I love than white pieces in Summer.  And since it’s practically here, why not share some awesome pieces?

This pair of white Frame Denim is super awesome!  I am in need of a new pair, and this one, may see it’s way into my closet very soon.  I’m also super lusting after this Victoria Beckham dress.  It is so good.  I love, love, love it!  And on that note, it’s time to end.

We would walk on the beach in our bare feet…

I grew up by the beach.  Every sunny warmish day I was in my swimsuit and board shorts ready for the surf and sand.  Most days I would lie out and get a killer tan (Which I now regret considering I have fine lines, and sun spots) others I would boat, fish, swim or surf my butt off.  I love the ocean, it was a very big part of my life for a very long time.  And I miss it every day.  So today I am sharing some really awesome swimsuits.

I am a sucker for black swimsuits.  Most of my swimsuits throughout my teen and now adult years have been black.  There is nothing sexier.  Then again I love a classic retro style like this white one.  It is so amazing.  It screams 60 glamour in the best way, and I can’t wait for summer.  I want to vacation by the beach so badly this summer.  We’ll see what’s in the cards.  And on that note, it’s time to end!
