When I’m home everything seems to be right…

Today is the last day of my #staycation.  I woke up earlier than usual, did my laundry for the week, paid bills (Yay! Being an adult is so fun! #itsatrap), I also showered, blew my hair out and reshaped my eyebrows.  I worked on some post ideas for the upcoming months, planed ensembles. Having a full day even though I’m home can get a little tiring, but I always feel so accomplished when I get a lot done.

My time off was a much needed break, I had a lot of days were I hung around the house and did house work and worked on my novel or posts.  J and I also had a lot of fun outings, we discovered new restaurants, spent time with friends and family, and binge watched a lot of Castle.  We already made it to season six, which I am super excited about.  We’ll more than likely be caught up through season seven in the next few weeks, we may need to find a new show to watch by then.  I’m looking forward to next week, not only will we be in June, and there are some great things happening in June!  My mother and I have some plans for the weekend, and I think we may have a BBQ as well!  Although I miss work and I’m excited to get back to the daily grind, I also wish my time off didn’t have to end.  And on that note, it’s time to end.

All for now,

‘Cause, darling, I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream

As I have mention previously I have this new found love of Taylor Swift. I’ve been listening to 1989 for most of the day. I’m really loving Blank Space and Clean, in addition to my favourite Style.

In other news I have a couple of days off from work this week, so far I have done some cleaning and wrote about 700 words for my book. I have broken 20,000, which only took me approximately five years. It’s still really rough, but now it’s 20k rough! And that is a big step in the right direction. Maybe one day it will see the light of day.

Tomorrow is the big day, my hair appointment, and this mop will be gone! I am really excited about it. I don’t like that it takes so long to do my hair, and I need a change. And on that note, ot’s time to end…

They say it’s your birthday It’s my birthday too…

It’s September 3rd, and we are moving right along. I am trying to enjoy my day off… Not going so well thus far. Watching daytime television , paying bills and washing dishes are all that have been accomplished. Up next is taking a shower and the hour long process that is styling my hair. I did find out that Nordies is having a sale, and J. Crew Factory is as well. PSA: You know you are depressed when the thought of shopping no longer excites you. So that is where I’m at depressed days away from twenty-six. I am always depressed around my birthday. I always am made to feel like I am unimportant and I don’t matter, regardless of it it was intentional or not and The plans that I want to make no one else does. So here is my birthday wish list at twenty-six or 2014 if you will:

1. Having a day to myself where I don’t have to speak to anyone.

2. Going to the Spa for a facial.

3. Going to see a Broadway musical; preferentially Les Miserable, which will be perfect for my mood.

4. Going to the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, or the New York Public Library.

5. Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff  at Tiffany & Co.

6. The NARSissit Eyeshadow Palette at Sephora.

7. A bottle all to myself of Dom Perignon (very brut).

8. Misplaced Childhood by Marillion on vinyl.

9. All four seasons of The OC, all six seasons of Dawson’s Creek.

10. Having a day to myself where I don’t have to speak to anyone.

And on that note it’s time to end.

She keeps Moët et Chandon In her pretty cabinet

Five days into my staycation and I have accomplished nothing. And I couldn’t be happier. I just celebrated my second wedding anniversary yesterday. It’s hard to believe that it has been two years. My husband is my best friend, we have some fun times on our sofa watching movies and binge watching seasons and whole series.

Memorial Day is observed next Monday and it is mostly a time for BBQs and pool parties. But coming from a family full of military veterans it’s a time for us to remember those who fought for our country and appreciate those who are currently serving. Yes we will be attending a BBQ, and a flea market, I find it’s best to enjoy what we have doing things we love. And on that note it’s time to end.

With fingernails that shine like justice

Now that it’s May things are really looking up! We have two new hires staring soon, I will be taking a much needed stay-cation starting. I have been looking forward to my stay-cation for months! I will probably sit on my computer for ten days looking at Pinterest and Buzzfeed, trying to write more of my novel, all while watching daytime television. Let’s see what happens.

Tomorrow I have another orthodontist appointment, that should be fun. I will be in pain for days and unable to eat any foods that I may want to eat. I can not wait until they finally come off.

Today I polished my toes… I did Revlon “Posh”, my Husband is calling it Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles green. Okay, it is pretty close. But I think it will look great with my coral Dr. Scholl’s sandals. And on that note it’s time to end.
