Hello friends, I know I’ve been away for a while. Between work, helping my brother start a business and being pregnant during the summer I haven’t had much time to sit and write.
Over the past two weeks all of my favourite bloggers have been sharing their Nordstrom Anniversary finds, and I wish I could follow suit, but this year there was very little that spoke to me. I am afraid to buy clothes for after baby, because well, I don’t know how quickly I will loose the baby weight. And there was no A/W maternity styles on sale. So I decided to check out A Pea In The Pod, which has some great quality brands I love, and the sale prices were an additional 40% off!!!! I got some pieces that will hold me for the rest of my pregnancy (I hope!).
I picked up two Equipment blouses, who knew they had maternity styles? I am hoping that they are going to work after baby too, because, well they are pretty bitchin’. I ordered three dresses, they all just so happened to be from Seraphine, one black short sleeve, one blue patterned, and a long sleeve black printed that looks like something Ted Baker would offer. I also broke down and purchased maternity jeans. I really need them for weekends and days off. my normal go to pairs are not cutting it any more. I settled on a 7 For All Mankind boot cut, I have never bought a pair of $200 jeans before I hope they are worth it, they were discounted to $99 plus 40% off, so it was like how much every other pair I own cost. And I rounded out my order with two long sleeve tops and two pairs of stockings.
I plan to eventually add some nursing attire in the next few months for when baby arrives, but I got what I needed for now. My next purchase regardless of where from will no doubt need to contain some sweaters for A/W, some comfy pajamas, and maybe a fuzzy robe or two for those late night feedings my friends with children tell me about! And on that note, it’s time to end!
All for now,
–Kiki–
