Black leather too…

I aootd04271m totally breaking one of my cardinal fashion rules, an oldie but one that I have held true for years.  I’m wearing white before Memorial Day!  I know, gasp!  But more so, that I am so old fashioned rather than actually wearing white.  Time and time again, it has been proven that anyone, can wear anything, at anytime, all one needs is the confidence to pull it off.  So, I have been daydreaming about this look all Winter long, waiting for the warmer weather to share it!  And I gotta say, it’s totally bad ass!

Any excuse I have to wear this shirt dress from Asos, it take full advantage, it’s just so comfortable and easy to wear.  I typically need to wear a slip with it because it is semi-sheer.  I also capitalize on wearing my DMs, because I’m still (I know) breaking these boots in, and it has not been so fun.  But I love that this ensemble is so badass!  It’s really in your face, and sassy.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

You got that long hair, slicked back, white t-shirt…

I was doing a little online window shopping recently and I fell in love with a couple of pieces, but when I saw the prices, I thought yikes!  So I thought I might do a little more searching, and I found some more affordable options.  And it’s been forever since I shared a Save vs Splurge.

Save: TopJeans, Sneakers, Tote Splurge: Top, Jeans, Sneakers, Tote

I know I share a lot of stripe tops.  I own a bunch too.  I also have been lusting after dark wash skinnies for a couple months now.  So when I came across this Saint Laurent tee I was in love, only to quickly come back down to Earth because of the price.  Then I remembered the J. Crew version, which is a way more affordable option.  And a white  sneaker for Spring?  Always a staple, and the Converse clearly win with the price point.  The bright bag is a nice tie in with the accent of red in the top, the Victoria Beckham bag is stunning, but Tory Burch is a nice similar option for less.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung…

For this months playlist we are featuring a single band, and this band just so happens to be one of my favourites, obviously!  I came to this party a little late, admittedly, but once I arrived I was totally hooked.  It started with four lads from Liverpool, and the rest is Rock ‘n Roll history.  Yeah, that’s right, we’re talking about The Beatles!

1.Twist and Shout
2. Revolution 1
3. Eight Days a Week
4. When I’m 64
5. Hey Bulldog
6. Hello Little Girl
7. Sexy Sadie
8. Paperback Writer
9. Helter Skelter
10. Taxman
11. Drive My Car
12. Girl
13. Dear Prudence
14. It Won’t Be Long
15. Please Please Me
16. Help
17. Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite
18. All You Need is Love
19. Oh! Darling
20. Let it Be

This playlist is a bit longer than normal, I try to shoot for 10-15 songs.  But when it comes to such a great band such as The Beatles, I had to go a bit longer.  Yes, my tastes may not be the norm, but almost every Beatles’ song, even the remakes are good in their own right.  I’ve included some pictures of my Beatles collection.  Most of my music (like many I’m sure) is in mp3 form.  But I can say there is nothing like listening to music on vinyl, and I have been fortunate enough to find a Beatles record in good condition.  And when they re-released some albums on CD a few years back I bought a couple.  Happy listening!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

Leave it all behind, let the ocean wash it away…

ootd04181This week I am sharing one of my favourite sun dresses.  This dress is from the Lilly Pulitzer x Target collection from last year (last seen here).  The pieces went very fast, and I was only able to snag a few pieces.  This dress is perfect for Spring and Summer, and it has sea urchins all over it!  So were #gettinnauti this week too!

This dress is great for a few reasons, I was actually able to purchase it and not over spend.  It is great worn alone, or with a cardi.  Can be styled for work or play and it fits really well, I’m wearing a small!

||Dress: Lilly Pulitzer x Target (Last year, similar colours)||Cardigan: J. Crew Factory||Pumps: Nine West (limited sizes, similar here)||Belt: Vintage||

I paired this cardi/dress combo with my favourite vintage belt.  This gold beauty came to me from J’s grandmother.  It doesn’t have any hallmarks on it so I have no idea when or where it’s from.  I do know that it is completely badass!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

Where the bad boys roll hard dressing like James Dean and the vixen starlets feels so good to be

If there is one style of pants that I can not get enough of, it’s straight leg, cigarette style pants.  I love the style, it brings out this days of old, Hollywood glamour, trophy wife, aesthetic that just can’t be beat.

These pants are all super fun.  I am especially loving the striped Equipment pair, and the light pink Stella McCartney pair.  Both are so amazing/classic/gorgeous and timeless.  I will definitely be adding some more cigarette style pants to my wardrobe in the next few months.  And on that note, it’s time to end.
