No I’m not retro, no I’m not fair…

This weeks ensemble is another great office look.  I am a boring banker, and from 9-5ish, I have to dress like one.  And I am not one to (always) abide by the rules (ah-em, Mcqueen!).  With that being said I do try to colour in the lines at work.  Now, working at the bank, the dress code is more lax than at my previous job at the credit union (with the exception of casual denim Saturdays), and I like to take advantage of the new found possibilities.  This look is more on the classic side, and it mixes a classic colour combo black and cream.

This is one of my favourite looks for the office all year round.  A blazer or cardigan can be added for the colder Autumn and Winter months.  What’s your favourite office ensemble?  And on that note, it’s time to end!

Blue jeans, white shirt, walked into the room you know you made my eyes burn..

Spring is here again, and I thought I might share how I plan to style some of my favourite pieces for 2016.  As with Winter, I don’t plan to add too many new pieces.  I do plan to make the most out of what I have be fore adding to my wardrobe.  My low buy/no buy initiative for 2016 is in full effect!  I’m only going to repurchase what I need and splurge on quality pieces that I know will last for years!  I’m looking forward to Spring and all of it’s possibilities.  There is so much that I want to do with my clothes, but alas work gets in the way…

Chambray Pop over J. Crew, Red Chinos Tommy Hilfiger, Jimmy Choo flats
Springfaves1 White PB Calvin Klein, Blue midi J. Crew, Cream flats Jimmy Choo
Anchor Henley J. Crew, Blue Chinos Banana Republic, Loubies
As I think everyone can see my Spring/Summer wardrobe many consists of red, white, blue, and some black pieces.  I also own a lot of nautical themed pieces.  I have been waiting all Winter long to break out my S/S clothes.  I wanted to share more looks, but I figure I have all Summer to do that!  What are some of your favourite pieces from previous years that you can’t wait to wear?  And on that note, it’s time to end!

‘Cause you live in shades of cool…

With spring just about here I thought it was the perfect time to share some pretty pastels!  Yes, you can wear pastels any time of year, but they are especially nice for spring.  Just as the flowers start to bloom, and baby animals are born.

I am having a major love affair with cropped sweaters right now, this one from Craven is adorable.  I’m also really into Gucci bags right now.  My Mother as a young woman (pre-kids) had every bag in the line (so jealous)!  And on that note it’s time to end!

And the weather is clear, yeah, nobody is near…

I shared some ideas for Easter dresses earlier in the week.  Now, I’m sharing an ensemble.  Easter is one of those holidays that isn’ really my cup of tea.  If it was only about Cadbury Eggs and jelly beans I might be all for it, but that’s not the case.  Anyway, here is a super spring like look to get you through church service.

I am loving this Alexander Mcqueen dress, OMG!  It’s perfect, lady-like, flowy, and it exudes Spring.  The clutch is also killing me.  I love a floral, and this 3D clutch is amazing.  I am so a Louboutin gal,  And more recently I have opened myself up to suede and this pair is just darling.  I can see this pair of pumps being styled a number of ways.  And on that note, it’s time to end.

And may all the stars in the sky bow down to you…

We all have one, a list of things we would love to have, but maybe are just a little too extravagant for everyday life.  Or maybe these indulgences are so out there that we don’t share them with most.  My ultimate wishlist is mainly clothing, shoes, and jewelry I have wanted for years.  I have had the good fortune to be able to cross things off of my list.  Here are some of the things that remain.

1. Chanel Classic Flap
2. Chanel Suit –  This one, just maybe with a knee length skirt
3. Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutch
4. Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps
5. J Brand jeans – I plan to add these to the collection some time this year
6. Burberry Scarf
7. Cartier Love bracelet
8. Cartier Tank watch
9. Long camel coat
10. Issa dress

I’m no stranger to having Champagne tastes on a beer budget.  And a few of these items on my list are pretty expensive, but I prefer to think of them as investments.  They truly are little luxuries that can bring joy, and look super fierce!  And on that note, it’s time to end!
