Strawberries cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring…

It’s been a hot minute since I ordered from J. Crew (last Autumn) and  I’ve been trying to be good and not buy all of the things…  Until I got the latest J. Crew catalog in the mail…  All bets might be off.  I thought I might share some of my top picks.

I am not looking to add a lot for S/S, but these pieces are just to adorable to pass up.  I’m really going to have to buy a pair of dark wash skinnies, I keep coming back to them time and time again.  The green sandals are going to be a problem, that I think I need to solve, they are a similar style to what I was looking for, and they are green!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

You can see me, drinking cherry cola…

Today I’m sharing a few pieces that I found while searching Net-a-porter.com, which is a great site for inspiration.  I love looking at all of the pretty things!

1. Saint Laurent blouse – This top is amazing!  I’m so in love, I am all about polka dots, and the black and white combo is classic and everlasting.

2. J Brand pants – I’m all about skinnies right now, and I have been dying for a pair of leather pants for a while now.  This pair is just the ticket.

3. Balenciaga jacket – I’m a sucker for a biker jacket, and when I finally realized my dream about four years ago I was over the moon.  This jacket is an updated take on the classic biker style and it exudes sass.

4. Jimmy Choo pumps – I love good old JC.  And I have been fortunate enough to own a pair.  Though my pair is not quite like this.  The pink is a great lady like shade, but totally unexpected at the same time.

I just had to share these pieces.  They are all so very in there own way.  I love that the Spring stuff is starting to make an appearance.  I can’t wait to share some new arrivals.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

I’ve got to admit it’s getting better…

It’s my last update post in January, and it’s pretty had to believe that it’s over already…  This month was filled with inspiration, excitement, and well productivity!  I have been working really hard doing a ton of research on how I can optimize my time.  And the answer was staring me in the face the whole time.  Schedule your posts!  It’s so simple, once you finish a post, schedule it.  By doing so I have posts scheduled well into May!  It really is my new favourite thing!

I have also been working on my content like a crazy person…  I really hope everyone likes where I’m going, because I’m enjoying it.  And when it stops being fun, I should probably stop right?  I have also been trying to add more pictures to my posts.  I’m still not the best photographer/editor, but Ii can say I have learned a whole heck of a lot, and my pictures have come a really long way.

I am also really proud to report that I have hit, and exceeded my goal of fifteen posts for the first month of the year.  I really wouldn’t have been able to do it with out scheduling.  I know I mentioned it above, but it really makes all the difference!  I plan to continue this throughout the year, and I know that it is an attainable goal.

I’m having the hardest time with AdSense, since I switched to self hosted I can’t seem to figure it out.  I have been reading online for days, and I’ve had very little luck in finding how to fix it.  If anyone has any ideas I am open to them!  Please help!

Here’s to February and all that it brings!  I’m really looking forward to have another successful month of blogging!  I hope to be able to at least meet my goal of fifteen posts, take some awesome pictures, share some fun ideas, and just have an all around good month!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

Everything looks better from above my king, like aqua marine, ocean’s blue

For this weeks OOTD I am dusting off an oldie but a goodie.  You know THAT Issa dress?  The one K. Middy wore for her engagement announcement.  This look is very reminiscent of that.  It’s no surprise Kate Middleton is one of my fashion icons.  I mean she is a freaking princess (I know, I know, she actually a Duchess…)

This dress does not need much to look amazing.  It’s a great navy, super comfortable and I got it on sale from my local Macy’s for $25.00.  This dress is a Ralph Lauren faux wrap.  If I wear it to work I like to layer a cami, for night you can easily get a way without one.  I paired my dress with my Ivanka Trump Janie pumps.

Brush the snow from your hair…

For the past few weeks I have been living in my winter uniform of sweaters and trousers for work and sweaters and jeans for play.  I’ve been warm, but mostly boring.  It has been so cold that even layering isn’t enough.  Winter has finally arrived, along with all of the joy it brings, like chapped lips, dry skin, and itchy scalps.  There hasn’t been a lot of precipitation up my way, we’ve had some rain, some sleet, and a wee bit of snow.  Usually we get a lot of snow around these parts.  So I thought I would share a nice toasty ensemble for when the snow storm hits and you inevitably have to shovel your way out.

This is pretty much my weekend uniform, I am all about sweaters, (obviously) and skinnies right now.  I love that I can tuck my pants into my boots easily.  I am also in love with this Saint Laurent hat, it is gorgeous!  And the feather is too cute!  Stay warm friends.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

I’ll pick you up when you’re getting down…

So I have felt like crap for the past few days, and I don’t yet see an end in sight.  I hate having a cold, it just drains the life out of me.  And I want to get so much done, and I can’t when I feel like crap.  So this weekend was spent resting, blowing my nose, and taking cold medicine.

J and I did venture out on Saturday to have lunch at the Dutch Ale House.  I deviated from my norm and had chili and rice, it definitely warmed me up.  Then we stopped to visit with my parents for a bit.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing on the couch and trying to work on posts.  I’ve had the worst headache that won’t go away.  I don’t think the coughing is helping.  I’m hoping to have a much more productive day Sunday, maybe I can get back to taking photos for posts and finish some editing.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

Everybody here was someone else before…

Monday was Martin Luther King day, and to honor a great man, I get a day off from work.  Yay, federal holidays!  I spent my day sleeping in paying bills and blogging.

I took a ton of photos, I finished several posts and scheduled two weeks worth.  Crazy am I right?  I am so excited for when they go live!  I got back on the bandwagon and took some time to photograph some ensembles.  Which is something I haven’t done in a while, and I am so glad I did!  I can’t wait for the posts to come up so everyone can see them.

I finally bought my very own domain name.  After two and a half years of blogging I did it!  This was something that I have wanted to do for a very long time.  And I am so glad that I did.  Now Breakfast at Kiki’s is officially mine!  I’m moving in the right direction as far as where and what I want my blog to be.  I have been working on what I want to feature and when for a while now.  I have been working long and hard to make B@K’s a success and I know that having my own domain name is the next logical step.  2016 is totally my year!  Oh, and just in case, go ahead and rebookmark my page.  Yes, the old link will redirect, but what fun is that?  And on that note, it’s time to end!
