It’s simply spending it with you…

This past week was a blur! I was off from Friday through Monday… Most days J and I slept in, had coffee, then we cooked, cleaned, played games, did laundry, and generally relaxed! J has been off since the 18 and I had a mini vacation, and it felt so nice!

Christmas this year was great, but alas it went by too fast!  I was gifted some pretty wonderful things this year from my family!

One of our traditions is you open your stocking presents first.  This year, I got a lot of candy that I haven’t been able to eat for the past three years.  Like gummi bears, Toblerone, and Ferraro Rocher.

I got three pairs of shoes, a new pair of Dr. Scholl’s flats, Ivanka Trump pumps (both from J), and Dr. Marten combat boots (from MIL).  I have been lusting after a pair of DMs ever since I was about eleven or twelve.  I am so glad that I finally have a pair.  They are this sick deep cherry red.  I can’t wait to wear them with everything!  I have to break them in first, which will no doubt be a long a tiring process!

I shared my new Funko Pop toy additions the other day right (here) and on my (Instagram).  Ten and Ghost are two that I have wanted for a really long time, and they are so adorable.  They are the perfect additions to my ever growing Pop! Toy family.

My Mom got me a couple of colouring books, and they have some pretty complex designs in them.  I can’t wait to bust out the coloured pencils and get to colouring.

My Sister gave my a Yoda fleece union suit.  It is so awesome, only the weather has been too nice for me to wear it, but once it turns I am wearing the heck out of this thing!

I also picked up a Kate Spade business card holder, and a Kate Spade monogrammed mug (K sold out, some letters still available).  I love monograms and I am sad that I don’t have more things that are.  Both are great quality items!  I bought the mug for my office, so I can have a nice cup of coffee (the machines at work make lattes, and they are free!) and I bought the business card holder for my new business cards (duh).

We had a lot of fun for Christmas, this year it was very low key.  J built a fire, even though it was a very nice, warm day.  We watched A Christmas Story on TV all day, and we ate good food.  I made baked brie with honey for an appetizer, I’ve never made it before and it was a big hit.  I also made my pecan pie.  J made the ham.  We also had lasagna, sausage, meatballs (courtesy of MIL), and rolls.  Then cheesecake (also courtesy of MIL) for dessert.  I hope everyone had a safe and merry Christmas!  And now, we can move on the New Year’s!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

All for now,
