I know what only the girls know…

So, it’s been awhile since I last washed my makeup brushes, and let me tell you, my face is not happy about it!  I know, I know, they should be washed at least once a week…  Just take my girl membership away… Stat!  But anyway, it’s something I planned to accomplish this weekend.  Let me just say cleaning anything is probably my least favourite activity, so I really need to be motivated to get just about anything done.  I have a small but significant collection, and with the lip brush addition from my latest Sephora from earlier this month (not pictured, I haven’t used it yet).  I have some Sephora brand, MAC, and Bare Essentials brushes.  I also love my Beauty Blender.  I tend to invest in the best I can afford, I also try to get brush sets, I like the variety and you can usually find decent sets on sale.  I realized it was high time I get these bad boys washed so they are nice and clean.  And my face will be happy again.

What I use (pictured right):

I use the daily cleanser after each use on my foundation and concealer brushes, and the shampoo on all of them to really clean the built up make up and bacteria off.  I use the Beauty Blender Liquid cleanser for my BB, it’s so easy to use.  I just have to soak my BB then push down on the top part of the bottle to get the liquid soap out.  After I cleansed each brush and my BB, I give them all a good rinse, I like to make sure all of the soap has been washed through.  Then I reshape each brush and lay them flat to dry.  I also squeeze as much moisture as I can from my BB.  Then once dry I commence the brush using!

I know I should wash my brushes more often, but sometimes life gets in the way.  Fluffy clean brushes always make my face happy.  Oh, and not to mention that they really aid in the make up application process.  And on that note, it’s time to end!

All for now,
