And I said what about Breakfast at Tiffany’s?

August marks the anniversary of when I started blogging, it’s hard to believe it’s been two years already!  It seems like it was just yesterday when I created my blog.  I had gone through several different ideas for a name before settling on “Breakfast At Kiki’s”, one of my favourite films/stories is Breakfast At Tiffany’s and my nickname is Kiki, I thought it would be the perfect fit.  I would share my life and style, in addition to my love of Formula 1 racing, science fiction and fantasy(films, t.v., and literature), literature, and food.

Blogging has been a process for me, and not always an easy one.  J has helped along the way.  Whether it’s with taking photos, or teaching me how to edit them in photoshop.  He also puts up with my binge shopping, writing sometimes four posts a night, and my struggles with blogging.  Never the less the journey of finding my voice and cultivating my place on the internet has been an interesting one.  At times it’s cathartic, really fun, but mainly it’s stressful.  I read a lot of other blogs by people who are from all over the world.  I don’t have a closet full of Haute Couture, four pairs of Valentino Rockstud shoes, and Chanel bags.  What this experience has taught me is to be myself.  All nerd, a lot fashionista, lit nerd, and foodie.  Embrace the facets that make up your (my) life, share the good times, work through the hard ones.  Being happy, healthy, and beautiful is all relative anyway.  Here’s to another two (and hopefully MANY more) years of Breakfast At Kiki’s!  And on that note, it’s time to end!

All for now,
