Husband and I had lunch with our mothers at the Hoffman House this afternoon, which is on North Front Street in Kingston, NY. We go frequently for lunch, the restaurant is housed in an old 1700s stone building, and it still has much of the charm left; exposed beams on the ceilings, wide plank wood floors, and fire places in all of the rooms. We have never had a bad meal there and today was no exception! My mother and I each had scallops Marsala with angel hair pasta, Husband had a burger with bleu cheese and bacon, and his mother had their lamb sandwich. For lunch the portions are still substantial, there is usually more than enough to take home!
Today I mixed some old and new favourites! I attempted to “think spring” (even though it was super cold and it snowed) with my favourite sweater from J. Crew Factory (like it really came from anywhere else?) it’s hot pink 3/4 sleeve cotton and I wear the hell out of it (similar here and here), I will need to replace it over the next season or two, but until then I will continue to wear it out! I finally debuted my new Ann Taylor Loft jeans I picked up on clearance a couple weeks ago. They are distressed engineer stripe boyfriend style jean with a lot of stretch, so they get baggier as the day goes on which I love! I cuffed the hem up a bit for even more of a relaxed look. I also wore my Kate Spade New York Keds, they are navy with pink, red, and striped polka dots (striped polka dots, who knew that could be a thing? Love!) they are the most adorable sneakers! My sneakers don’t look like they are available anymore, but I love these, these, these. I can’t wait for the warmer weather so I can pair them with all of my “weekend” ensembles! Then I curled my hair and pinned back the top front sections on either side, it was cute and spring-like on an otherwise dreary day! And on that note it’s time to end.
All for now,
