Now every February, you’ll be my Valentine

With Valentine’s day fast approaching I thought it might be a good time to share my favourite things from January. This month buried under snow has taken a turn, so I look forward to when I get out of work this Saturday evening to spend some quality time with Husband. Since I have to work we will keep it low key and probably cook a nice meal at home. We don’t really have any Valentine traditions, we hardly ever exchange gifts for the occasion, or go out to dinner. Husband says “Nothing says I love you more than an engagement ring and a wedding band.” He is mainly joking, but all joking aside let’s get to my favourite things!

1. Lancome Visionnaire – I have been raving about it for weeks to anyone who will listen and I can’t seem to get my hands on a full size! I am so bummed I tried to order it from Macy’s and Sephora, I checked again today and now it’s available again online… I need to chill out with my spending hopefully in a few I can get this stuff. But it really is a Holy Grail serum.

2. Opaque tights – My mom bought me every colour she could find for Christmas, I still haven’t been able to wear them all. I love them because this means I will still be warm while wearing skirts in the fall and winter. Thanks to my mom I have solids, patterns, and some with texture. I love finding easy inexpensive ways to spruce up tired work outfits. Especially since I work with the public, and some people comment if I wear certain pieces too often.

 3. Nars Smudge Proof Eye Shadow Base – I Finally opened And God Created the Woman eye palette and the primer was included, I did my eyes subtle for work, but I used the primer first and my eye shadow did not budge! There was no creasing, movement, loss of colour, and this was after 10+ hours. I was gobsmacked. Never in my life has that happened to me. This stuff is quickly becoming HG in my world.

And on that note it’s time to go!

All for now,
Kiki
