Darlin’ don’t you go and cut your hair…

I did it, I chopped my hair. I lost about 10-12” and now I am well into lob territory. I couldn’t be happier. It’s lighter, healthier, and I can do so much with it. I can curl it, flat iron it, blow it out, and I can even put it in a pony tail if I get lazy. Today I washed my hair and blew it out, with a bit of a wave, I was going for “french girl chic, lazy, wavy, and disheveled. It worked out okay. I think I may curl my hair with my curly tongs and see how that works. Monday I think I want to go straigher and sleeker for work. After scouring the internet looking at tutorials I learned that with my new versatile hair mousse is the way to go. I ordered some from Sephora, along with $180 worth of other products, I’m hoping to give a few as gifts. I’ll do a review on the mousse, I went with Drybar, since I’ve had such good luck with everything I have tried thus far. And on that note it’s time to end!

All for now,

‘Cause, darling, I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream

As I have mention previously I have this new found love of Taylor Swift. I’ve been listening to 1989 for most of the day. I’m really loving Blank Space and Clean, in addition to my favourite Style.

In other news I have a couple of days off from work this week, so far I have done some cleaning and wrote about 700 words for my book. I have broken 20,000, which only took me approximately five years. It’s still really rough, but now it’s 20k rough! And that is a big step in the right direction. Maybe one day it will see the light of day.

Tomorrow is the big day, my hair appointment, and this mop will be gone! I am really excited about it. I don’t like that it takes so long to do my hair, and I need a change. And on that note, ot’s time to end…

All for now,
Kiki

Your dreams and your hopeless hair…

My mind keeps wandering to my hair appointment next Friday. I want to chop all of my hair off and donate it to charity. I am thinking a lob, maybe with blunt bangs, maybe inverted. I can’t decide. My husband hates the idea of me cutting my hair short and getting bangs… I say it’s my hair and it will grow back. A few of my coworkers are constantly comparing my very long dark brown hair to  Kate Middleton. I even joked with my desk mate that I would give my hair to her.I found a few images of what I am trying to go for. Top/bottom middle is like my “spirit” hair, the others would be repeats of styles past.

You’ve got that James Dean day dream look in your eye…

Now that it’s November I think it might be time for my favourite things! October was an interesting month to say the least. Okay here we go:

1. Buttercup blow dryer from Drybar – I recently purchased the Big Hair Don’t Care set from Sephora, and I couldn’t be happier. After my first blow dry I was in love, not only did it take about twenty minutes (as opposed to the hour I would spend with my crappy drugstore dryer) to dry my hair but it was smoother, shinier and so much healthy looking… So much muchier if you will. And I haven’t had a hair cut in over a year. I am sure it will be even more effective when I get my hair cut short in two weeks. I want all of the Drybar tools and I want them now. I also want to plan a trip and get a blowout done… Maybe one day.

2. 1989 – Taylor Swift – From listening just a few times I am hooked, one of my coworkers made me a copy of this record and I am really excited about it. I am all about “Style” (hence my title today) it’s just fun and poppy even though she’s Harry bashing (in the nicest way possible of course)…

3. “Sweater weather” – It’s Autumn, it’s cold and I need to keep warm. As I have mentioned in previous posts I have an ever growing sweater collection. From cashmere to wool to cotton and even angora I can’t get enough. I love me some cardigans and 3/4 sleeves pull overs the most. I even have a pretty bitchin’ sweater dress and an amazing duster that I have yet to debut…

4. Apple cider – I love cider, I like it plain, cold, warm, and with booze (which I refer to as being excidered). Fall is the best time to enjoy cider, especially because it’s fresh and plentiful.

All fro now,
Kiki
