Everyday’s an endless stream of cigarettes and magazines…

Now that spring has sprung I thought I might share some of my favourite things!

Right now I am loving flats for spring. Normally I am a high heel gal, but this spring I am going the flat route. I just picked these Tommy Hilfiger two piece flats yesterday and I can’t wait to wear them.

I am lusting over short suits. I wish I could wear shorts to work because I would rock these bad boys like there was no tomorrow. But one can only dream and I am stuck with crop pants on Fridays and Saturdays in the summer.

I have been using Rosebud Perfume Co. Rosebud Salve for man moons now, and it is probably one of my favourite things. I manly use it as lip balm but I also have been known to use it for my cuticles. It works wonders for both and it smells great. I get mine from Sephora, but the sell it in a bunch of places.

I am obsessed with Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, affectionately known as Kate Middleton. Mainly her hair and her bitchin’ closet. So since I am a relatively pretty brunette I try to style my hair like her’s whenever I can.  Some of my favourite looks have been emulated over the years and here are just a few of my favourites:

And on that note it’s time to end!

Nowadays you can’t be too sentimental…

This week has been pretty crazy so far. I got some bad news Wednesday from a close friend, a lot more changes are coming at work. On the upside Spring is officially here. Even if it’s still cold here in the north. Today I rocked my J. Crew Factory pink cotton 3/4 sleeve sweater and my bright green New York & Co. pencil skirt with my new nude Nine West pumps. I didn’t take any photos today, because, well I was too lazy. I am looking forward to this weekend. I have some chores to catch up on and maybe give my self a much needed mani/pedi, maybe a nice Spring colour. On that note it’s time to end.

Sunday Yesterday was my town’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It was a fun filled day of marching handing out candy and little giveaway merchandise from the institution that I work for. I got together with my coworkers and we had a blast! It’s my favourite event of the year.

On Monday I styled my favourite hunter green blouse with my favourite charcoal grey straight leg trousers. I felt it appropriate because of St. Patrick’s Day today! I have on some green eyeshadow (Kate did it too!), and my hair is pulled back in a low bun. My make up is simple because I have run out of mascara… I know, it’s a travesty… My girly card should be revoked, but Chanel mascara is like $30 a tube and I have to pay my mortgage….
I have been eyeing new summer shoes, I NEED a new pair of Sperry Top Siders, but I found a pair that look more like smoking slippers that I am pretty sure I have to have! I also found a great pair of Dr. Scholl’s wedge sandals in this great pinky-salmon colour that will go great with so many of my spring/summer clothes. I just got my tax return in (finally!), maybe I can afford that Chanel mascara after all!

Detail of my barrette, the only green accessory I could find this morning!

For my St. Patrick’s Day make up I used Mac Shroom as the base, Swimming is my accent and Humid is my liner. No mascara (for why see above). On that note it’s time to end.

Yeah, you say that I’ve hurt you, and your voice is like a prayer…

So I have made it to March 7th with out getting so much as a tickle in my throat and then Friday night it started. The sniffles, the sneezing, and the occasional cough. I guess that is pretty good considering that counting money and handing kids lollipops are probably the easiest way to catch germs. So I feel awful and I have been laying on the couch watching movies on ABC Family waiting until I can take some more medicine and maybe take a nap. The weekend has been filled with tissues, fluid and minimal eating. I feel hot and cold all at the same time. I just hope that it’s not something more than a cold. I can’t really be taking too much time off, being that I prefer to take my vacation time when I feel better. And on that note it’s time to end.

Take all the courage you have left…

It’s been an interesting start to my March. There are and will be a lot of changes coming up at work. Some changes are great and I am really on board with them, others are not so great. All of the changes will take some getting used to. And on top of that we had another new hire start training today, and we will have another new hire start in a couple weeks.
On the bright side it is now March which is exciting for a few reasons! The first would be St. Patrick’s Day, there is an annual parade that my work participates in and we all get together and have a great time. Then there is my mother’s birthday, so the family will be having a little celebration. And last but certainly not least Spring will be starting. I am still really looking forward to Spring, I just want to wear my Spring clothes!
I haven’t been good about photographing my ensembles. I will have to get back on the bandwagon. I have something super cute planned for tomorrow. And on that note it’s time to end!
